We’re Here to Help
We understand that surrendering a dog is never an easy decision. Changes in circumstances, health, finances, housing, or family life can sometimes make it impossible to continue providing the care a dog needs. Our role is not to judge. Our priority is to help dogs move safely into the right environment while supporting owners through what can be a difficult and emotional process.
Before submitting a surrender request, please be aware of the following:
Ownership
You must be the legal owner of the dog, or have written permission from the legal owner authorising you to surrender them. If ownership is shared, all owners must consent before we can proceed.
Health & Veterinary Care
Ideally, dogs should be vaccinated and neutered (where age and health permit). If this is not the case, we may still be able to help depending on the individual circumstances.
Foster Availability
As a foster-based rescue, we can only accept dogs when a suitable foster placement becomes available. Unfortunately, this means there may be a waiting period before we can take a dog into our care. If we cannot help immediately, we will always be honest about our capacity and offer guidance wherever possible.
Once we receive your form, a member of our team will review the information provided and contact you to discuss your dog’s needs.
If we are able to help, we will:
- Assess your dog’s requirements
- Begin searching for a suitable foster placement
- Discuss timelines and next steps
- Arrange a surrender agreement and handover when appropriate
We ask that all information provided is accurate
For safety and legal reasons, we are unable to accept dogs with a confirmed history of severe aggression towards people, dogs that have caused serious injury through an unprovoked attack, or breeds prohibited under UK legislation. If we cannot assist directly, we will do our best to suggest alternative options and sources of support.
Submit a Surrender Request
Please complete the form below with as much information as possible. The more we know about your dog, the better we can assess their needs and determine how we may be able to help.
A Final Note
Choosing to surrender a dog does not mean you have failed. Sometimes the kindest decision is recognising when a dog’s needs can no longer be met and seeking help.
Whatever your circumstances, you will be treated with kindness, respect, and understanding. Our goal is to help every dog take their next step safely and successfully.
